Lesson 4 --- JOB INTERVIEWS
Lesson 4: JOB INTERVIEWS

Everyone find these stressful experiences. The best way to feel confident is to make sure you've done your homework beforehand. Find out as much as possible about the organisation you're applying to work for, and what the job will involve.
Remember you'll have to speak about the information on your CV, so make sure you actually know about any hobby you've said you're interested in. The same goes for any relevant experience you've got. It also helps to be able to talk a bit about your skills, strengths and perhaps even a not-terribly-serious weakness.

If you get nervous before an interview it can help if you simply take some regular deep breaths just before it starts. Or maybe try and imagine sitting in a place where you feel relaxed and comfortable - a jacuzzi filled with naked air hostesses, for example.

It may say a lot about the shallowness of employers but first impressions count, so make sure you dress smartly for the interview and smile when you shake their hand.

Getting an interview is an achievement in itself, so don't feel too down if you don't actually get the job.
It may help to get feedback about your interview from the employer to improve your performance next time. Try looking upon each interview as an opportunity to perfect your interview technique.
