Disclosure Hints
1. Interviewing is BETWEEN two parties. 2. Interviews revolve around a SHARING of information. 3. The PROGRESS OF THE INTERVIEW can determine where the interviewer is headed, and you can choose to disclose more (or less). 4. The old adage "LEAVE 'EM WANTING MORE" is relevant when interviewing. Also, as in advertising and marketing, you don't have to give every detail of a product to induce a sale - just enough salient points to satisfy the buyers' demands. 5. Regardless of the circumstances, NEVER LIE about circumstance, employment records, or personal history. It is a small world and the facts come to light eventually (or you will get an ulcer worrying about their discovery). 6. Inteviewers may be dealing with DISCLOSURE ISSUES too. They may be privy to information that cannot be shared. |
