Lesson 6: THE BOSS HAS BEEN HOUNDING ME FOR DAYS ON IT.
  Conversation Practice
THE BOSS HAS BEEN HOUNDING ME FOR DAYS ON IT

A: Say. Mr. Park, what do you say if we set aside all these work for the moment and slip out for a bite to eat.
B: You read my mind. I feel half starved myself. The only problem is we have to pull this together by the end of the day, you know.
A: Don't worry. How can I forget? The boss has been hounding me for days on it. She told me to have it on her desk by 5 today or to start looking for alternative employment.
B: Wow! She really tore into you. Are you sure you can spare the time for a lunch out?
A: No problem. We'll finish the project by closing time.
B: We could kill two birds with one stone if we ordered in, Plus, I know a good Chinese place that delivers. What do you say to that?
A: Actually, that's a marvelous idea. That way, we should be able to eat and finish up the project with time to spare.
B: Alright, then. What do you want?
