PRESENT CONTINUOUS (I AM DOING) AND SIMPLE PRESENT (I DO)
Present Continuous is used for something that is happening at or around the time of speaking. The action is not yet finished; rather it is going on at the present time.
Examples:
She is writing her speech in the next room.
I'm going to bed now.
Is she working today?
What are you reading?
They are getting ready for the party.
SIMPLE PRESENT is used for things in general or for a habitual action.
Examples: She writes well.
The kids love to sleep.
I work for the government.
Karen reads a lot of classic novels.
We want to party!
