Lesson 19 --- PAST PERFECT/과거완료
Lesson19: PAST PERFECT

Franc: Someone stole my wallet last night.

Sheila: Oh no! What happened?

Franc: Well, I was working out, and I had put my stuff in my locker, just like I always do. When I came back, someone had stolen my wallet. I guess I’d forgotten to lock the locker.

Sheila: I’m sorry. That’s terrible! Did you lose much money?

Franc: Only about $20. But I lost my credit card and my driver’s license. What a pain!

Past perfect: use the past perfect for an event that occurred before
another event or time period in the past.
