Many companies who offer their services and products to the public receive complaints once or even everyday. People cannot avoid making complaints if they are not satisfied with the quality of service or product they are getting. The types of businesses who usually receive most complaints include: mail-order companies, long-distance phone companies, car dealers, landlords, home improvement services, banks and insurance companies, car repair garages and travel services, and so on.
1. Have you ever complained about any of these types of businesses?
2. What are the three other business or things people often complain about?
3. Have you ever wanted to complain about something, but didn’t? What was it?
4. Have you ever returned anything to a store? How did the store respond?
5. What do you think are the most common reasons why consumers complain?
6. What do you think is the best way to communicate your complaints?
